Digital Retinal Imaging & OCT Scans

This state-of-the-art imaging equipment allows our optometrist to exam your eyes to the greatest degree possible. Using this technology, we can detect eye diseases at early stages and provide treatment to save your vision. This machine stores detailed images of your eyes so that we have a record of your eye condition. The optometrist uses this technology to get a clear picture of the back of your eye, allowing a close look at critical parts of the eye structure.

Here are just a few advantages of digital imaging:
-Captures Clear Images of Your Retina and Optic Nerve
-Captures the Structure of the Eye
-The Near-Infrared Light is Safe for Eyes
-No Patient Prep Needed
-The Imaging is Non-Invasive and Pain-Free

Optical Coherence Technology

An OCT scan is a technology that uses near-infrared light to create high-resolution images of the retina, choroid, and optic nerve.

When a scan is complete, the optometrist receives color-coded pictures of the retina with key details that can reveal conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other potentially severe eye problems.

OCT scans are painless and can be completed in less than 10 minutes!

Optomap Retinal Examination

In our optometry clinic, retinal examinations may be performed using the Optomap® retinal exam. This technology provides us with a wide view of your retina that can be used to thoroughly examine the retina and get details about its condition. Eyes can change over time without much warning, and eye disease can occur without you being aware of it. The Optomap® technology allows our optometrist to identify potential vision problems sooner than ever before, giving patients time to make critical changes that can affect their long-term eye health.
